Urban&Civic’s Johanne Thomas heads up the team at Houlton with regard to localstakeholder and community engagement.
In other words, she and her colleagues are responsible for ensuring that everyone is kept aware of how Houlton will grow, complement and enhance the local area, one day becoming a genuine source of
pride for the whole town.
The Houlton development not only has an exciting future ahead of it. Situated on the old mast site, famous for having been home to the world’s most powerful radio transmitter, it has a rich and fascinating history too. So Johanne’s job has her looking to the future whilst never losing sight of the past. Johanne regularly meets with local groups to keep them updated on the progress of this huge project. With the groundwork underway for homes at Houlton, she’s currently very busy marketing Rugby’s
newest neighbourhood.
